OMAHA, JULY 7, 2005, Actor, playwright, poet Brian E.
Bengtson will appear at The Reading Grounds, 3928 Farnam St., Omaha,
July 7, 7 pm – 9 pm, to read from his latest work First Chill: A
Collection of Poetry and to sign autographs. The Reading Grounds will
donate 10 percent of sales from the book to the Nebraska Aids Project
(NAP).
Bengtson has been featured in many national Gay/Lesbian magazines and HIV/AIDS journals, such as Hurakan, David’s Place, Bay Windows, and Poetry Motel. He served four and a half years as Poetry Editor for The New Voice of Nebraska (one of the state’s oldest and longest-running GLBT magazines until it folded in 1998). The Reading Grounds bookstore and gourmet coffee lounge offers new books, magazines, gifts, sandwiches and desserts and values personal growth and discovery.
